Welcoming the first baby of 2024!
January 2, 2024
Elko, Nevada – Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital (NNRH) rang in 2024 with the year’s first bundle of joy. Weighing 5 pounds and 15 ounces and measuring 19 inches, Adalie Marie was born to proud parents Vanessa and Giovanni at 8:31 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1.
Baby Adalie received a number of gifts as the “New Year’s Baby”. The volunteers in the NNRH Auxiliary provided a basket filled with toys and goodies along with a check to purchase baby supplies. The hospital administration gifted a giant plush unicorn, while the Elko County Cattlewomen donated a gift basket to be delivered at a later date.
“Everyone gets excited about the first baby of the new year, and we were thrilled to help welcome little Adalie into the world,” said Francine Gumina, director of women’s services at the hospital.
“Here in the Birth Center, we believe every baby and every mother deserves special attention and the absolute best care available. We have an excellent team of doctors and nurses who are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment for mothers and their babies all year round,” Gumina stated.
