NNRH Again Sponsor’s Angel Tree – With Santa’s Help!
October 26, 2015December 19, 2013 –ELKO, NV-
For the past five years Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital has partnered with a selection of local agencies to sponsor children in need during the holiday season through their Angel Giving Tree. This year’s Angel Tree was managed by the NNRH Auxiliary to support children from the Division of Child and Family Services.
Thanks to the generosity of employees and community members, several children were ‘adopted’ and are receiving their Christmas wishes, with an extra special twist! The Auxiliary put in a special call to Santa Claus to ask him for help delivering all the gifts to these wonderful children. When Santa checked with his elves to make sure his sleigh would be ready, he found out that it would still be getting polished up for Christmas Eve, so he would need a little extra help to deliver the gifts. The Auxiliary reached out to Summit Air Ambulance to ask for assistance, after all, the North Pole is very far away. Thankfully, Summit Air had a helicopter available on Friday and is picking up Santa Claus!
Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is proud to be part of this collaborative effort between healthcare agencies to fulfill the Christmas wishes of local children in need. We encourage all media to attend in order to bring awareness to a worthy cause for the Division of Child and Family Services.
Please note: If our media partners plan to attend and photograph the event, in order to maintain confidentiality, children’s faces, or identifying information (names or listed as foster children) may not appear in the publication. Please call NNRH for more information about the location and time of the event, as it is not open to the public.
