February 25, 2014

February 25, 2014 - ELKO, NV
Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital (NNRH) would like to announce a transition in executive leadership that will take place over the course of 2014.

Gene Miller, CEO has decided to transition out of the role of CEO by the end of this year to relocate closer to his family. With Mr. Miller’s decision, NNRH will begin a search to recruit a qualified executive to fill the role of Chief Operating Officer for an interim period, who will then assume the CEO role. Mr. Miller has graciously agreed to remain on board during the transition period to prepare this individual to assume the CEO position.

During Mr. Miller’s leadership at NNRH, many significant accomplishments have occurred. First, NNRH has continuously improved quality of care and for three years in a row, NNRH was named by The Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures, placing NNRH among an elite group of hospitals across the country recognized for quality performance. Also under Mr. Miller’s leadership, NNRH has significantly expanded services to meet the needs of our community, adding behavioral health, spinal surgery, infusion services and outpatient radiology through the acquisition of EDI. In addition to excellent quality and service, NNRH has experienced consistent growth year over year for the past five years, as NNRH has become the place where people in the community choose to come for care.

NNRH would like to thank Mr. Miller for his service and congratulate him on his many accomplishments while serving employees and patients.
